I'm not even going to apologize for not blogging because... I'm spending less time online and more time knitting (and facebook, and instagram, and playing Trivia Crack!). But the problem is that I'm accumulating a bunch of stuff to tell you! So it ends up with another long post! Where I left off was some stash acquisition.. Why don't I continue with that? So, I had a count of 8 points for YarnWatchers. These are some new acquisitions:
2 skiens of Bugga in The Bowery Boys
and 1 skein of Blind Date, which ended up with a perfect skein of Rose Curulio:
The following week, these came to the doorstep: 2 skeins of Clown Spiked Orchid:
And the Cookie A club yarn arrived. This time, I'm going to count club yarn (since I'm only in ONE club).
So the total comes to 14 points. Don't worry... I have several projects on the needles which will let me subtract up to 14 skeins off! If I finish those projects, i.e. Well, let's take a look at some of them:
I'm just a little over the Fox Paws Stole. This will use up 5 skeins of yarn:
This photo was taken a week ago - I've advanced another 2 repeats. This is the Blowfly KAL socks. I'm double dipping with the SKA Fantasy theme. The pattern is House Baratheon Socks. I name my project Joffery Baratheon - my least favorite Baratheon, but an admirable actor. He has to be good when he makes you hate him so. My favorite scenes are the ones involving the Lannister men: Lannister, Tyrion, Tywin.

This is a much-treasured skein of Malabrigo Rasta that I got tempted to buy a pattern for $3.99 that consisted of 2 lines of pattern plus cast on number of stitches!
It is a cowl and it'd better use up all the yarn. It's been bitterly cold here - today, it's -9 (without windchill) - that will be Fahrenheit. For the metric folks, that's -22 Celsius. So, I'm looking forward to finishing it.
And finally, I have to finish a crochet edge on this Thorpe hat I knitted for my husband's friend.. I made him a hat last year, but he wanted one that would cover his ears.
2 points if I finish... and a finished scarf I haven't shown you, and 2 points on the loom.. IF I finish all of them (notice the big IF), that would be 14 points subtracted and I would be back to ZERO! (I can only dream... )
