I have some finished projects but no photos yet. But today, I'll show you the yarns I'm adding to my stash from the last few months... Let's see... this one was from the Summer - it was in my garage until I cleaned it the other day. Malabrigo English Rose in Arroyo. I also bought matching Shibui Silk Cloud to go with it.. I think this was meant for the pattern, Milltown.
Also found these with no plans:
In October, I attended a Shibui party at my local yarn shop, Amazing Threads. I was interested in making this cowl:
I looked at the sample and the presenter explained how this was worked; it was a pain! So I went downstairs to shop (20% off Shibui that evening). While I was shopping, I won the kit (door prize) with this pattern and the yarn! The kit I won came with 4 skeins of Shibui Cima:
The othe Shibui I bought were Staccato and Silk Cloud. I think I was going to make a cowl of some sort - knitting 2 strands together, but I don't remember the pattern - maybe Kristin does - as she was with me.
I don't remember what I bought these for... Kristin, while you're on your thinking cap, why did I buy these?
On Black Friday, Amazing Threads had everything 25% off when you shopped from 8:30 - 10. It was the only shop I shopped at for Black Friday. I picked up a few skeins of yarn for cowls. I've finished 2 of them and I have another to finish. Then, I still have yarn for 3 other cowls. These are the remaining yarn I'm going to use for cowls for Christmas gifts:
Other items I bought for mittens (if I get to them) are:
The following day, I went to The Yarnery in St. Paul. They had a Three Irish Girls trunkshow. Besides, American Express had the Shop Small Saturday so I got $10 back for each minimum $10 transaction there.. I have 2 cards so I paid for these in two separate transactions and got $20 back. No plans yet. Sock yarn is Adorn...
These mini's are in Glenhaven Fingering with Silver. No plans either...
On Monday, I received a call that I had won a prize from a drawing at the Trunkshow! I'm going to pick up my prize tomorrow.
Hope you're knitting like crazy! 16 days to Christmas!
So many pretty yarns :-)
