Back in July, 2010, I decided to knit this sock using my Bugga Dawn Dropwing and Acmon Blue. The pattern was Transition Sock - it was my first attempt at colorwork. Remember this?
In fact, I almost finished one sock!
But it just didn't fit well - the toe was too tight where I did the colorwork. So of the frog pond it went.
Fast forward to January 2012 - I decided to use Dawn Droping on a Mystery Sock by Kirsten Kapur.
I dropped out after the second clue:
I even attempted to reuse the Acmon Blue from the first time, but the kinky yarn didn't even look good in garter stitch!
Well, the 3rd time (or 4th?), I used it on Rachel Coopey's Fred and George Socks (published in the Harry Potter magazine). And they were finished!
I started a(NOTHER) sweater on Friday, after seeing Yvoone's Merle by Norah Gaughan. I'm not posting photos or start a project page until I'm pass the yoke to separate the stitches for the sleeves. So until the, stay tuned. But this is what it looks like:
As I browsed through the latest issue of Vogue Knitting, I came across this pattern, so I am going to cast on this as well.. A shawl with bulky yarn and size 13 needles... YEAH!
This looks nicer than the shop sample knitting with the same yarn - Berroco Kodiak. Maybe the photo uses a smaller-sized needle so the stitches look nicer.. but in any case, I'm going to use Malabrigo Mecha. It's a bulky weight but superwash wool.
Oops! I forgot to swatch for my sweater!
I finished ONE Circe by Cookie A from the October Club:
With November 1 coming up on Friday, I will either cast on the second sock or just work on the sweater (even I'm laughing at myself! HAHAHA!) or the new shawl, or the mitered squares blanket.
I have some new yarn but haven't taken photos due to the rainy week, but today's perfect... I should do that now while it's still sunny.
Happy Knitting!
