I first cast on the Cookie A Sock Club pattern, Daphne, with Bugga in Breyer's Jewel Scarab. It was a rather quick knit. After 2 days, I've managed half the leg (keep in mind that in the past 2 days, I've also cast on a shawl and worked a few squares on the blankie).
The shawl (Romi's Kleio) starts with 277 stitches, but it's all garter stitches... boring, but doable... I've probably knitted 8 or 10 rows... This is knitted in Bugga in Painted Damsel.
Also received 2 shipments in the last 2 days. The first is the last of my Woolgirl pre-paid kits. It's from the Victorian Writer's August kit called Mrs. Dalloway. Yarn is Malabrigo Lace. Pattern by Anne Hanson.
The project bag is really cute. I've already used it!
Next is the Twisted Socks are for Suckers Shawlette club. This is the September shipment. Yarn is Hazel Knits Artisan in Portabello and the pattern is by Chick Sticks Knits (Melissa Goodale).
Nice shawl pattern... the yarn is hard to photograh, but this is what it looks like:
These are the 3 browns I have in Artisan at the moment:
In other news, my son is back for the long weekend from college. So good to see him. Good news - he didn't bring dirty laundry home! He'd better not! There's a washer/dryer on each floor of his dorm. And using the machines are free of charge. He just has to provide the detergent. And the laundry room is right next door to his dorm. So he scored a point for not bringing laundry home!
LOVE your Daphne sock in the green! So pretty! Have fun casting on, new projects can be so much fun. I swatched for a sweater yesterday with yarn I bought at SS. I'll probably cast it on tomorrow.
I'm curious about your Woolgirl kit too. Is there less crap in her kits now or did you just not photograph all the silly stuff she often includes?
