First of all, the U2 Concert is DA BEST! There is no concert I've ever attended that is this amazing - even the 2 Andy Gibb concerts I went to when I was so giddy about him as a teenager! The music, the stage, EVERYTHING is fantastic and I have yet to read a bad review about the concerts that they have put together across the country. So, it rained, but I stayed dry with my poncho and baseball hat. I did get about 4 repeats of the Monkey Socks done. I've decided to name Sock #1 U1 and we'll see if there will be a U2.

I finished the shawl for my mom. I have to weave in the ends and I'll give it to her on Tuesday. This is unblocked:

And blocking: (well, it's dried, but I haven't taken it off the blockers yet)

I've destashed my yarn for my Sock Summit Fund. Getting close to $700!! Here are a few that just went away: Bugga in Devil's Flower Mantis, Pink Katydid, Sukara Silk Moth, and Madelinetosh Pashmina in Forestry.

Sock Summit... it's taking a lot of time for prepartion. Today, I finished the rest of the stitchmarkers, but haven't finished attaching them to my cards. Someone had asked me how to make them. Basically, there are 3 steps. These are what you need: Wire, beads, crimp beads, and tools - a crimper and cutter:

String the beads in order:

Crimp and trim the ends of the wire:

Now, I'm attaching them to my cards to be given out/swapped:

I also knitted a Tiny Leaves sock for the Hazel Knits Meet-up at Sock Summit. We can identify each other by those wearing a Tiny Leaves sock. This is how small it is:

And finally, some sock club shipments... Rockin' Sock Club - love the colors! And are all lightweight skeins now 405 yards? Or just the club shipments?

The last shipment from Knit Purl: (Pattern by Wendy Johnson)

I'm 50% packed, but haven't fnished 2 pieces of homework and I have to wind some more yarn for Cookie's class and Chrissy's class... so later...
And by the way, U1 will be your narrator when in Portland.
