First of all - woohoogirl - Kristi taught Cookie how to knit socks! Not how to knit! Sorry about that!
I was helping a friend out with a pattern using the chart I used for a pair of socks I designed from a stitch pattern book and I ended up writing up the pattern. This is something I wanted to do anyway to get started on designing so here it is:
I do want to clarify that this is very similar to a pattern already published called Michigan Lake Shore Socks in Ravelry. When I saw it last year, I was telling myself, "hey, that's my socks!". Well, great minds think alike! There is a difference of 2 stiches per pattern repeat and 4 rows per repeat. I had came up with this when knitting my Dream In Color Shrug in 2008. Thinking what lovely socks this pattern would make. Well, I spent the morning writing this up and I feel good!
If you like it, I would appreciate you knitting and telling me what part of the instructions are confusing. I tried to write it the way I like to follow a sock pattern.
