YAY! That means, time to cast on new socks! I have been taking the last week of the Summer Holiday off since the kids stopped going to daycare (i.e. the last 4 years). That's because my husband, who is a teacher, has to be back at school for teacher workshops, etc... As the kids get older, they don't really need me to watch them so this year, I declare the week for SKA (Sock Knitters Anonymous Group on Ravelry) so I can cast on new socks! I have 4 pairs planned, but yesterday, the results were these 2 sockss: the red one is Wendy Johnson's Trilobites Socks and the other one is Wendy Johnson's Diagonal Lace Socks.
The other 2 pairs I haven't casted on yet will be in yellow as that's one of the challenges for the month.
I wanted to show you one of my finished felted bags. I picked up these leather handles and just love how they look on this Orange Bubble Bag:
This won't be lined so I can keep the slouchy look. In it are some wound cakes of yarn and some Socks In Progress. Back to socks... I finished another pair right under the wire on August 31. This is my pair #16: (In Season with modified panel of 24 stitches and a longer leg) - these will be my Christmas socks.
This is the Solid Mystery Sock where I've finished one sock. The second sock need to be finished by end of September:
and more yarn arrived this week: From Lotus Yarns and Wool Candy...
What is the sock yarn (greenish one) from the socks you cast-on? I looooove that colorway!
